“Perhaps most important of all, we know that our data is replicated to our contingency site within minutes, minimizing the risk of any disruption in IT functionality at our headquarters in London.” |
WEEE Compliance in Europe: EstoniaCollection and Recycling Arrangements in EstoniaData Domain products are sold in Estonia by Channel Partners. The Channel Partners act as the importer of the equipment into Estonia. Thus the Channel Partners have a legal responsibility to comply with the WEEE regulations in Estonia. The Estonia regulations allow a foreign company who does not have a legal presence in Estonia to discharge this legal obligation on behalf of all its distributors in Estonia by joining a compliance scheme. The Estonian authorities have approved two collective compliance schemes, EES-Ringlus and Elektroonikaromu. EES-Ringlus is the largest collective compliance scheme in Estonia and its member companies account for 80% of all IT equipment and 95% of large and small household appliances. Data Domain has joined the compliance scheme EES-Ringlus. This discharges all WEEE obligations for all Data Domain products sold in Estonia. No further action is required by distributors who import Data Domain products into Estonia. |
