Data Domain DDX Array for Scalable
Protection Storage

This lab report validates that users can achieve 20-to-1 data reduction with Data Domain deduplication technology while maintaining a high level of performance and reliability. The report also highlights some of the technological advantages of the Data Domain platform, including:

Inline Processing: Data Domain inline processing deduplicates on the fly compared with post-processing solutions, which must store backup data to disk before deduplicating.
Accelerated Time to DR Readiness: System administrators can access local restores as soon as the backup job completes.
Scalability: Users can scale the Data Domain DDX Array with additional controllers and disks as needed for up to 15 PB of capacity-optimized deduplicated storage.
Multi-dimensional WAN Vaulting: Users can achieve even higher rates of capacity optimization and additional bandwidth optimization across the WAN.
