Data Domain SalesEDGE Partner Program Grows to 40 Resellers Worldwide

Resellers Enthused to Offer Unique, Disk-Based Capacity Optimized Storage Solution for Their Customers

PALO ALTO, CA - February 2, 2005 - Data Domain®, the leader in enterprise data protection solutions, today announced that its SalesEDGE channel partner program has signed more than 40 reseller partners worldwide since its inception in May 2004. The program is designed to streamline the purchase and support process for resellers and end user customers.

More than 90 percent of Data Domain revenue was driven through the channel in 2004, and of those sales, more than 50 percent of the company’s business was channel initiated, according to David Schneider, vice president of Sales at Data Domain.

“We’ve had great success with selling the DD200,” said Dean Cappellazzo, vice president of Sales at ECO Systems Group. “Although we’re storage-vendor-agnostic, we often lead with this product for clients looking for cost-effective disaster recovery solutions. Both international and domestic resellers have enthusiastically joined the program, according to Bill Cordero, director of worldwide channel sales at Data Domain. San Francisco-based ECO Systems Group as well as Asian reseller Tokyo Electron and European reseller ProAct are among the growing list of resellers who have joined the program, according to Cordero.

The DD200 Restorer, an award-winning storage recovery appliance pioneering the field of Capacity Optimized Storage, uses Global Compression technology and a low-cost replication module. It is sold exclusively through regional, national and global reseller partners. SalesEDGE is designed to distribute the company’s products to more customers worldwide by enabling them to buy from reseller partners they know and trust.
